Engelsk tekst.<\/p>\n<p>The book documents the history of the legendary S\u00e1mi artist collective M\u00e1zejoavku (1978\u20131983), and deals with the importance of the group historically and also in relation to other S\u00e1mi artists and Indigenous collectives and practitioners globally today.<\/p>\n<p>The S\u00e1mi Artist Group was the first generation of young S\u00e1mi artists to regain pride in their S\u00e1mi heritage, to express their S\u00e1miness freely, and to reclaim a renewed space within S\u00e1pmi by advocating and negotiating S\u00e1mi thinking and being through the arts.<\/p>\n<p>The book is based on individual interviews and extensive research by author Susanne H\u00e6tta.
